The Turkey Human Rights Foundation volunteer psychologist Gülsüme Oğuz and social services specialist Cansu Turan published an impression report on their visit to Suruç between October 3-6, 2014, with the “Women’s Initiative for Peace,” consisting of 133 women from nearly 20 women’s civil society organizations.

The report primarily provides general information about the events in Kobane and Suruç. It addresses the war trauma experienced by the people of Kobane and its causes, as well as ways to cope with this trauma. The report also includes recommendations on what needs to be done both in the current conflict environment and after the establishment of peace.
